These quite powerful, for their size, WW11 "Loch Class" A.S.W. Frigates, based as they were on the hull design of the earlier "River Class",
and with improved seakeeping qualities, brought many advanced production features, as well as their weapon and electronic systems,
into play at a time when they were sorely needed. Many were also modified and named the "Bay Class", to suit the needs required for the "Pacific War",
where the threat was mainly airborne rather than submerged.
